Terms of Service

Welcome to Sabiá. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sabiá ("we", "us", "our") about your use of our web app at https://sabiavocab.com. Sabiá is operated by Agent Launch LLC, 2055 Limestone Rd, Ste 200-C, Wilmington, DE 19808, USA.

1. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account or using Sabiá, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Sabiá is

Sabiá is a web app for learning European and Brazilian Portuguese vocabulary using flashcards and spaced repetition. The service is currently free to use. We may add paid features in the future; if we do, we will let you know and you will not be charged without your agreement.

3. Your account

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information, including a valid email address.
• Keep your password safe and not share it with others.
• Use one account per person (accounts are personal to you).
• Be at least 16 years old (or have guardian consent where required by law).

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Acceptable use

When using Sabiá, you agree not to:

• Abuse, harass, or harm other users.
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the service in bulk.
• Attack, disrupt, or try to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
• Upload illegal or infringing content into your word lists or notes.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

5. Your content

"Your content" means the words, notes, and study data you add to Sabiá.

• You own your content. Adding it to Sabiá does not transfer ownership to us.
• You grant us a limited license to store your content and display it back to you so the app can work.
• If you opt in to the leaderboard, you also grant us permission to show your first name and stats (the days you hit your goal and the number of words you have learned) to other signed-in users. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
• You are responsible for the content you add, and you confirm you have the right to add it.

6. Dictionary content and attribution

Definitions and translations in the app are adapted from Wiktionary and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This dictionary content remains under that license.

7. Our intellectual property

The Sabiá app itself — including its design, features, code, and branding — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our app beyond using it as intended. (This does not affect the Wiktionary dictionary content described above, or your ownership of your own content.)

8. Disclaimers

Sabiá is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It is a learning aid, not a guarantee of fluency or any particular result. We may change, pause, or discontinue features (or the whole service) at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sabiá and Agent Launch LLC, including its members, officers, and affiliates, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or abuse the service.
• You may stop using Sabiá at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@sabiavocab.com (self-serve deletion in the app is not yet available).

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make important changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using Sabiá after changes take effect, that means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
